I’m down in Buenos Aires right now, and can’t help but be swept up in the Tango here. I’m truly terrible, but thankfully my Lindy Hop skillz mean that the Tango leads can at least whisk me around the floor and let me pretend I know what the hell I’m doing. Anyway, I stumbled across this heartwrenching animated short, entitled “En Tus Brazos” (In Your Arms). Set in the 1920s, it tells the tale of a famous tango dancer struck down by a tragic accident. The creators are actually French and it’s from way back in 2005. Directed by François-Xavier Goby, Edouard Jouret and Matthieu Landour.
The website, where you can also see the short film, is really gorgeous too: www.entusbrazos.fr
Enjoy!

I just sent a small love note to my boyfriend. No, literally! A tiny letter using Leafcutter Designs’ World’s Smallest Postal Service. An absolutely darling idea, you submit your message at LeafcutterDesigns.com and your letter will be transcribed onto tiny stationary (1 x 1.5 inches!), put in a teeny envelope and sealed with a miniscule wax seal with your initial on it! They’ll then put the letter, along with a handy fold-out magnifying glass for reading, into a sturdy mailer for shipping, and post it to whomsoever you wish, all for the miniature price of $8 plus shipping.
I would love to get one of these for my birthday, or even as a tiny party invitation, just imagine!
Visit the shop on the website, it’s filled with similarly charming and whimsical ideas. How lovely…
